Statistics Galore!!

We have now come to the end of our first year organising station to station free guided walks to the general public. At a recent meeting we were able to announce a successful year which we all hope to build on for this new forthcoming year. The following statistics were given out (these are given to our sponsors to let them know how we are doing!!) - taken from the booking forms:-

Stats for April 2006 – 2007

- Transpeak Walks organised 38 walks between April 2006 - 07

- Quite an even spread of walk grades – 12 Easy, 15 Moderate and 11 Strenuous

- The leaders took out over 1000 people during this period of time, therefore a positive increase in the use of public transport to pursue leisure activities

- We introduced over 140 people to Transpeak Walks (who only walked once with us) but over 160 people decided to come back for more!

- Roughly an equal amount of walkers were male and female
